TROY ROGAN

COMPOSER FOR FILM, TV, AND GAMES | MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

Troy Rogan was drawn into a life of music after being captivated by the emotive power and storytelling of soundtracks in film, television and video games.

Beginning as a classical cellist and pianist, Troy transformed his knowledge of music performance into creating and exploring sound in the digital environment. With a devotion to the orchestral tradition and a fascination with sound synthesis and production, he melds the familiar and foreign to create unique, emotion-driven scores.

Troy prides himself on delivering high-quality, emotive content, to support the narrative of each project he has the pleasure of working on. With a decade of experience composing for screen and media, he has worked in teams, autonomously, and as head of department managing project logistics and contractors.

Troy holds an Honours Degree in Interactive Composition from The University of Melbourne, where he now lectures in The Art of Game Music and Making Music for Film and Animation. In 2017, the university awarded him the prestigious Keith and Elizabeth Murdoch Travel Scholarship, which enabled him to work within professional film music studios across Los Angeles, USA. During his travels, he began composing boutique production music for the MPATH Library. In 2018, Troy was awarded the Johnny Dennis Music Award from the Australian Guild of Screen Composers.
